Today i’m presenting you with a talk I recently gave at the 2021 Moxy Research Summit titled, Muscle Mass & Tissue Pathology Related Influences On Predicting Performance With NIRS. This talk is a follow up to a previous article that I published here on the Emergent Performance Lab Substack titled, Critical Energetic Rate: Modeling Performance & Fatigue.
In this video i’ll walk you through a series of models that can be used to predict time to exhaustion with a NIRS device starting with the simplest formulas and building in complexity as we go. I will also discuss where these models break down as well as the future of this line of research.
